Robert Mannheimer joins company
Robert Mannheimer has been the chief executive officer of Blackman Plumbing Supply Co. Inc. since 2008. He will succeed Richard Blackman as chairman of the board and will work with the company’s board of directors to continue its growth as one of the region’s premier plumbing and heating suppliers. Mannheimer has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and was previously a vice president of finance at JBL/Harmon Kardon.
Before joining Blackman Plumbing Supply, Robert Mannheimer was a vice president of finance at Harmon Kardon/JBL. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from C.W. Post and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. He lives in Blue Point, New York, and is the father of two sons. After more than three decades, Blackman Plumbing is still a family business, with its roots dating back to the early 1920s in Brooklyn. Robert Blackman replaces Richard Blackman as chairman of the board
In the early 1920s, Richard Blackman founded the company, which is now headquartered in Bayport. In addition to plumbing supplies, he also diversified into other business sectors like water works and air conditioning. Today, the company operates 22 locations and has a newly built distribution center. For his memorial service, the family is requesting donations to the Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
